Why Meghan Markle isn't going to have a baby shower

Meghan and Harry's baby is only a few months a few months away now, but unlike most mothers, Meghan isn't going to be celebrating with a baby shower. 

Considering that baby showers are very common practice in this day and age, this comes as quite as a surprise, but the reason behind it isn't as surprising.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told People Magazine that the American tradition of having a baby shower is frowned upon in the royal family: "They have added pressure that they're clearly very wealthy and a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate."

"There's nothing they can't go out and buy themselves" Victoria added.

If Meghan did receive any gifts for the baby, she'd have to declare return them no matter the price, so hopefully her friends keep the receipts!
