It seems three is the magic number for Prince William!

The Duke of Cambridge hilariously teased his wife, Kate Middleton, about not wanting more children during a visit to St. John's Primary School in Scotland this week.

While watching the children learn the importance of empathy while observing an infant, the Duchess of Cambridge couldn't resist a cuddle with the 10-month-old baby.

However, while everyone else gushed over the adorable sight of Kate snuggling the wee tot, William quickly joked: "Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?"

To which the mother-of-three responded: "It makes me very broody.

"William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, 'Let's have another one.'"

While the Duke and Duchess - who are already the proud parents of George, eight, Charlotte, seven, and Louis, four - poked a little fun at the idea of expanding their brood, Kate has been candid about her husband's hesitancy to have any more little ones.

In 2020, she told royal fan Josh Macpalce: "I don't think William wants any more."

Most recently, Kate shut down pregnancy rumours in September 2021 after she spent over two months out of the public eye while their family had their annual summer vacation.

The last time the Duchess had a similarly lengthy time out of the spotlight was when she was suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum - which causes extreme morning sickness - while pregnant in 2017.
