Throwback photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William partying at university have gone viral for the best reason

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are always the perfect picture of royal etiquette.

But a new viral video on TikTok is showing that wasn't always the case - and fans are loving it!

The video - which is made up of a photo compilation of Prince William and Kate Middleton partying together from their university days in the early 2000s - has racked up a whopping 5.2 million views and over 500,000 likes.

The young couple is captured smiling, laughing and sometimes looking a little bit the worse for wear in the back of cars.

Unsurprisingly, the compilation has attracted hundreds of comments about how carefree the pair look - and that they clearly knew how to "party hard just like normal young people do."

"Couples who rave together stay together," one TikTok user joked.

Another added: "It's nice to see them happy and relaxed."

Others noted how photogenic Kate looked, despite appearing a bit inebriated in some of the pictures.

"These are the roughest pictures of her in existence and she still looks like a flipping goddess," someone observed.

Prince William and Kate, both now 40, met in 2002 at St Andrews University in Scotland.
